Tristar Physical Therapy offers specialized hand therapy for injuries and conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. Our therapists provide expert rehabilitation to restore strength, dexterity, and function so you can return to work, sports, and daily activities.
Hand therapy services are available at select Tristar locations across East Tennessee.
Conditions We Treat
Our hand therapy program addresses fractures of the hand, wrist, and forearm, tendon injuries and repairs (flexor and extensor), carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow, Dupuytren’s contracture, post-surgical rehabilitation (including joint replacement), and nerve injuries and compressions.
Our Approach
Hand therapy at Tristar combines skilled manual techniques with specialized rehabilitation protocols. Treatment may include custom splint fabrication and fitting, scar management and desensitization, joint mobilization and manual therapy, progressive strengthening and dexterity exercises, edema management, and ergonomic education and activity modification. We follow evidence-based protocols specific to each diagnosis to ensure optimal healing and the best possible functional outcome.
Custom Splinting
Our therapists fabricate custom thermoplastic splints on-site, tailored to your specific injury and stage of recovery. Custom splints provide better support and comfort than off-the-shelf options and can be modified as your condition improves.
